NSBM Interior Design Students Practice Sustainable Décor with Paper Pulp

The Department of Design Studies recently organized a specialized workshop focusing on sustainable material exploration, embodying the ethos of experiential learning. The students of the 26.1 Interior Design intake stepped away from their digital drafting screens and plunged their hands into sustainable craftsmanship. The focus of their latest project was Paper pulp techniques—a highly versatile, eco-friendly medium that is rapidly gaining traction in the global sustainable interior design market.
The initiative was designed to challenge students to bridge theoretical design principles with practical execution. By manipulating raw recycled paper fibers, the undergraduates explored the structural, structural-load, and aesthetic limits of the medium.
