Students’ Wellbeing Association Concludes SWA Champions Trophy 2026 

A vibrant celebration of unity, teamwork and student wellbeing took place at NSBM Green University as the Students’ Wellbeing Association (SWA) successfully hosted the SWA Champions Trophy 2026 at the Phase 2 Grounds.
Bringing together undergraduates from across the university, the tournament provided an exciting platform for students to showcase their sporting abilities while fostering teamwork, discipline, camaraderie and healthy competition. Beyond the competitive spirit, the event reflected the importance of sports and community engagement in creating a balanced and enriching university experience.
Established in 2018, the Students’ Wellbeing Association (SWA) is committed to fostering a supportive environment that promotes the physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing of NSBM undergraduates. Through sports and community-focused initiatives, the Association continues to create opportunities for students to connect, engage and thrive beyond the classroom.
The occasion was further graced by the presence of distinguished university officials, including Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, and Mr. Thisal Yatawara, Head of Student Affairs. Their presence and encouragement added significance to the event and motivated the participating students throughout the tournament.
After a series of competitive and spirited encounters, Dragon Fighters emerged as the Champions of the SWA Champions Trophy 2026, while Team Brothers secured the 1st Runners-up position and Team Dominators were named 2nd Runners-up.
