The Faculty of Postgraduate and Professional Advancement proudly inaugurated the PhD in Management and MIT/MSc 25.1 Batch on 12th October. The event brought together newly admitted candidates who successfully completed their interviews and selection process.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Piyumi Wickramasinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate and Professional Advancement, setting an inspiring tone for the day.

Adding prestige to the occasion, our Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, shared his valuable thoughts and perspectives, motivating the new postgraduate students to pursue academic and professional excellence.

The event also featured an insightful keynote address by Prof. Tharusha Gunarathne, Chair Professor, University of Colombo, on “Navigating the PhD Journey”, offering deep reflections and guidance for aspiring researchers.

Further the event was also graced by Dr Rasika Ranaweera, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Mr Venura Colombage, Head of the Department of Marketing and Tourism, Dr Rashika Mudunkotuwa and Dr Pabudi Abeyrathne.
