The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group of NSBM Green University successfully concluded UXverse, an innovative UX Design event aimed at fostering creativity, user-centered thinking, and design excellence among computing undergraduates.

The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean of the Faculty of Computing; Prof. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Head of the Department of Data Science; Mr. Gayan Perera, Master-in-Charge of the IEEE Student Branch of NSBM; Ms. Thilini Bakmeedeniya, Mistress-in-Charge of the IEEE Student Branch of NSBM; and Ms. Kaumadee Samarakoon, Advisor of the IEEE WIE Affinity Group of NSBM.

Bringing together more than 100 enthusiastic participants, UXverse served as a dynamic platform for students to explore the principles and practices of User Experience (UX) Design. A key highlight of the event was an insightful session conducted by Ms. Sanduni Kariyawasam, Lead UX Designer at IFS.

The event also featured an exciting UX Design Competition, where 24 teams demonstrated user-centered design solutions, reflecting the growing interest in UX Design among future technology professionals. The competition was evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges, Ms. Oshadi Vanodya and Mr. Udara Ruwarshana Wijethunga.

The event concluded with the recognition of outstanding teams for their exceptional performances: Team Anamalu – Winners; NovaX – First Runners-Up; CyberNaughts – Second Runners-Up
