NSBM Green University Hosts NSRSIT 26 Pre-Symposium Workshop in Collaboration with Sandip University, India

The Faculty of Computing of NSBM Green University, in collaboration with Sandip University, India, successfully conducted the Pre-Symposium Workshop of the NSBM Student Research Symposium on Innovative Technology 2026 (NSRSIT 26).
The workshop was organized as a precursor to NSRSIT 26, providing students and researchers with valuable insights into emerging trends and challenges in the field of computing and technology.
The event was graced by distinguished academics from Sandip University, India. The first session was conducted by Dr. Ankitha Karale, Head of Computer Engineering, Sandip University, on the topic “AI in Sustainable Energy Optimization and Smart Infrastructure.” The second session was delivered virtually by Prof. Anand Singh Rajawat, Research Consultant, Sandip University, on “Security and Privacy Issues in Modern Computing Systems.”
The workshop was held in the presence of Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean of the Faculty of Computing; Mr. Naji Saravanapavan, Deputy Dean; Prof. Chaminda Wijesinghe Head of the Department of Computer and Data Science, and fellow Heads of Departments; together with members of the academic staff of the Faculty of Computing.
Also present were the organizing committee members of NSRSIT 26, including Ms. Hirushi Dilpriya, Symposium Chair; Ms. Lakni Peiris, Symposium Secretary; and Ms. Thilini Bakmeedeniya, Editor-in-Chief.
