Day 2 of the Orientation Programme for March 2024 Intake unfolded with the main theme of ” Living Your University Life to the Fullest”, aimed at enhancing students’ university experience by offering sessions on various aspects of student life, personal development and extracurricular engagement.
The day featured sessions led by the Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Dr. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwawila, Head of Student Affairs, Ms. Aushadarie Kaushalya and Lecturer/ Former Head of Student Affairs, Mr. Thisal Yatawara.
A notable highlight of the day was the session delivered by Senior DIG of Police, Mr. Sanjeewa Medawatte.
The plan also comprised entertaining acts performed by NSBM’s Music Club, Dancing Club and Drama Club. Icebreaker activities, facilitated by Lecturer and Head of NCARE, Mr. Prasanna Perera, fostered mutual interaction and engagement among new entrants. Additionally, the day provided the opportunity for new students to register for the 50+ clubs and societies functioning on campus.
