NSBM Faculty of Computing successfully conducted the Company–Academic Round Table (CART) to review the 2nd year modules of MOHE-approved degree programmes.

 

The discussion focused on reviewing existing module content, introducing relevant updates, removing outdated areas, and aligning the curriculum with current industry expectations.

 

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Deputy Dean, Heads of Departments, Curriculum Audit Committee representatives, faculty academics, and invited academic and industry experts.

 

The Faculty was honoured by the valuable contributions of Prof. Noel Fernando, Professor, Department of Information Systems Engineering, University of Colombo School of Computing; Prof. S. Vasanthapriyan, Dean, Faculty of Computing, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and Professor in Computer Science; Ms. Ganga Shamini Abeyrathne, Architect – Technology at Virtusa; Mr. Mahesh Nanayakkara, Architect at Virtusa; Mr. Nalinda Herath, Founder/CEO at FOERTE.

 

The session was organized by the Quality Assurance and Staff Development Cell in collaboration with the Industry Collaboration Unit of the Faculty of Computing. The event was coordinated by Ms. Yasanthika Mathotaarachchi, Lecturer and Faculty of Computing, QA Cell Representative.
