NSBM Hackathon Hub, under the Faculty of Computing, recently hosted two key events celebrating innovation, knowledge sharing, and leadership transition: HackTalk’26 and the Top Board Badging Ceremony 2026/2027.

HackTalk’26 brought together aspiring developers and hackathon enthusiasts for an inspiring session on hackathon strategies, teamwork, and innovation. The panel featured: Ms. Dinithi Nanayakkara; Mr. Pawan Prabhashana; Mr. Akash De Silva and Ms. Udeshi Silva.

The session was guided by Mr. Anton Jayakody, Lecturer-in-Charge of Hackathon Hub, and graced by Dr. Rasika Ranaweera (Dean, Faculty of Computing), Mr. Supun Chandana Gajendrasinghe (Faculty Lecturer), and Mr. Ishara Dias (Founding President of Hackathon Hub).

Later in the evening, the Top Board Badging Ceremony was held at the Green Boardroom, Faculty of Business. The event was welcomed by Dr. Rasika Ranaweera (Dean of the faculty of Computing), Mr. Saravanapavan Nasiketha (Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computing), Mr. Anton Jayakody, Mr. Madushanka Mithrananda and Ms. Gayathmi kariyapperuma. 

Special appreciation was extended to the outgoing 2025/2026 committee for their leadership and contributions. The ceremony concluded with the official induction of the new 2026/2027 board, marking a fresh era of innovation, collaboration, and student-led initiatives at Hackathon Hub.
