NSBM Hosts 2nd International Conference on Transformative Applied Research (ICTAR 2025)
The 2nd International Conference on Transformative Applied Research (ICTAR 2025), organized by the Research Council of NSBM Green University, was successfully held at the NSBM premises as the second advancement of its inaugural conference. Guided by the topical theme “Next Era: Breaking Through Research in a Changing World,” ICTAR 2025 brought together a diverse community of scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe to explore innovative approaches and pioneering breakthroughs in applied research across multiple discipline.
The international conference was officially launched with an inauguration ceremony held at the Auditorium. The event was graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the faculties, as well as researchers, industry experts, entrepreneurs, academics, and students of NSBM.
The inauguration ceremony was enriched by keynote speeches delivered by two distinguished scholars: Prof. Helen Lloyd, Associate Head of School (Internationalisation), School of Psychology, Faculty of Health, University of Plymouth, United Kingdom, and Prof. Ajith De Alwis, Senior Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Their addresses provided valuable perspectives that fostered scholarly dialogue and interdisciplinary collaboration.
ICTAR 2025 was successfully organized under the leadership of the Conference Chair Dr. Damayanthi Dahanayake, Editor-In-Chief Dr. Bhagya Deepachandi, and Associate Editor Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, together with the Conference Committee comprising esteemed NSBM academics, whose collective efforts ensured the success of the event.
