Department of Operations and Logistics Hosts FUTUROPS'25 Lean Thinking Workshop for A/L Students

The Department of Operations and Logistics proudly hosted FUTUROPS’25 an insightful Lean Thinking Workshop for Advanced Level students from several renowned schools.
 
The event began with the esteemed participation of Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Mr. Shaja Musthaffa, Head of the Department of Operations and Logistics and Ms. Rekha Kulasekara, main organizer of the workshop and all the department lecturers.
 
The workshop comprised two key sessions; Session 01 – Future Leaders: Building Your Personal Brand Today, which was conducted by Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean – Faculty of Business. Session 02 – Achieving Operational Excellence through Lean Thinking was delivered by Mr. Dayan Hengedara, CEO – The Lean Six Sigma Company Asia and Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Holder.
 
Over 200 A/L students from the following prestigious schools participated in the event: Ananda College -Colombo, Gateway International School – Colombo, Lyceum International School – Gampaha, Ashoka College – Horana, Royal College – Colombo, St. Bishop’s College – Colombo, Visakha Vidyalaya – Colombo and Nalanda College – Colombo.
 
The Department of Operations and Logistics continues to lead in organizing impactful outreach programmes to guide and inspire the next generation of business leaders.
