NSBM Faculty of Science successfully hosted the Company–Academy Round Table (CART) 2026 on 6th May 2026 at the Green Board Room, bringing together distinguished industry professionals and academic representatives to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.

 

The session focused on curriculum enhancement, industry expectations, graduate employability, internship opportunities, research collaborations, and the development of future-ready graduates equipped with both technical expertise and professional competencies.

 

The Faculty was honoured by the participation of representatives from FADNA, Nestlé, English Tea Shop, Kandetiya Agro Products (Pvt) Ltd, and Morison PLC, together with academic representation from the University of Colombo.

 

Industry representatives shared valuable insights on quality assurance, research and development, industry readiness, practical exposure, and the evolving expectations of the scientific sectors. The discussions further emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary learning, professional skill development, and sustainable industry–academic partnerships.
