Day 3, Session 02 of NSBM Convocation Week 2025 was truly unforgettable as we celebrated a milestone achievement: the very first graduates of the NSBM Faculty of Science to earn BSc (Hons) degrees through the University of Plymouth in Biomedical Science, Nursing, and Psychology.

The degrees were proudly conferred by Prof. Richard Davies, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, University of Plymouth, UK, in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe. The conferment was accompanied by Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwavila, Dean – NSBM Faculty of Science.

The University of Plymouth Partnership Prize was awarded to Fathima Shazana Shiraz (BSc Hons Psychology), who also received the Best Performance Award for her programme.

Celebrating excellence across all programmes, other NSBM Best Performance Award winners were W G Pravera Gillion Stephanie of BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree and H K Anugi Yehansa Senevirathna of BSc (Hons) Nursing degree.
