NSBM Holds 3rd CPD Session on “The Ripple Effect: How Academic Wellbeing Shapes Student Learning and Engagement”
The Quality Assurance and Staff Development Center of NSBM Green University successfully conducted its 3rd Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Session for 2025, titled “The Ripple Effect: How Academic Wellbeing Shapes Student Learning and Engagement,” on Friday, 7th November 2025.
The session was conducted by Mr. Prasanna Perera, Senior Lecturer and Senior Student Counselor at NSBM, and focused on the vital connection between academic wellbeing, teaching effectiveness, and student engagement. Participants engaged in insightful discussions and explored practical strategies to manage stress, maintain a healthy work-life balance, and embed sustainable wellbeing practices within the institutional culture.
This initiative reflects NSBM’s continuous commitment to cultivating a supportive and thriving academic environment that promotes the holistic growth of both staff and students.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Udeshika Yapa Bandara, under the guidance of Dr. Malsha Mendis, Head of Internal Quality Assurance, and with the advisory of Professor Baratha Dodankotuwa.
The session received highly positive feedback from participating academics, who appreciated its relevance, interactivity, and practical applicability in enhancing their professional and personal wellbeing.
