සෙනෙහසකට මග Social Welfare Project at Pitipana Maternity & Child Health Clinic
A group of students from our 25.1 batch, representing Project Management Group 06, carried out a fruitful social welfare project at Maternity & Child Health Clinic, Pitipana, on Tuesday, 19th of August 2025.
This endeavour was implemented in alignment with target 3.2 (End preventable deaths of newborns and children under 5 years of age) of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing).
Core activities of the endeavour included an insightful awareness session conducted by Dr. Geethanjali Jayathilake, paediatrician of Homagama Base Hospital and the donation of newborn-care packages to 20 expecting mothers from underprivileged communities.
With “සෙනෙහසකට මග”, the project team addressed the need for comprehensive and accurate early childhood care knowledge and provided aid with carefully and thoughtfully assembled care packages.
