The USBUS Mobile American Space at NSBM Green University began with vibrant energy and a spirit of global collaboration as we proudly welcomed Ms. Sharlina Hussain-Morgan (Acting Public Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy), Mr. Nowzad A. Jabbar (Director, American Spaces SL), Ms. Jinendri Matthew and her team from Sarvodaya Fusion, and Mr. Ashan Gunathilaka.

The delegation was graciously received by Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Dr. Chandana Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwavila, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Dr. Piyumi Wickramasinghe, Dean of the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies.

Day 1 featured interactive and insightful sessions on digital tools for learning and teaching American English, and an introduction to eLibraryUSA — an invaluable academic resource for students and educators. The energy on campus was inspiring, with students actively engaging with learning booths, resource persons, and new ideas. More than just an event, USBUS is a powerful bridge to global knowledge, connection, and future-ready learning.
