The 24.2 Faculty of Business students established a fully functional mini library at Kananvila Sugathapala Vidyalaya, advancing SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, with focus on Target 10.2 – Empowering and promoting the inclusion of all.

 

Key activities included collecting and donating books from university students, purchasing new books and a cupboard with funds from a student-led stall and setting up the library for the school’s children. The project impacted equal access to learning resources, empowerment of young learners through knowledge, and nurturing a love for reading within the rural school community.

 

The project was carried out by the 24.2 batch undergraduates as part of their CREST programme, reflecting their commitment to sustainable community empowerment.
