The NSBM Faculty of Computing, in line with the NSBM Student Research Symposium on Innovative Technology (NSRSIT 2026), successfully conducted the Pre-Research Workshop Series – Session 01 on 23rd February 2026, with the participation of NSBM undergraduates enthusiastic about enhancing their research skills.

 

The session began with an insightful introduction to the Research Pathway by Ms. Hirushi Dilpriya, Symposium Chair, highlighting the importance of research culture, publication opportunities, conference engagement, and long-term academic and industry benefits.

 

This was followed by an engaging interactive session conducted by Ms. Lakni Peiris, Symposium Secretary, designed to stimulate critical thinking and active participation. Through guided discussions and brainstorming activities, students explored preliminary research ideas, identified real-world problems, and examined emerging technology domains.
