NSBM Green University had the privilege of welcoming Professor Richard Davies, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom, to its lush green campus.

Marking a significant milestone in the longstanding and prestigious NSBM–Plymouth partnership, Professor Davies graced the graduation ceremony of the Plymouth-awarded degree programmes held during NSBM Convocation Week 2025.

During his visit, Professor Davies met with Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, along with members of the senior management team. Their discussions focused on further strengthening the partnership and exploring new opportunities for future academic and research collaborations.

Professor Davies also toured NSBM’s state-of-the-art facilities, gaining insight into the dynamic learning environment and the university’s ongoing development initiatives. As a symbolic gesture of friendship, sustainability, and future growth, he planted a Naa tree, Sri Lanka’s national tree, at the Phase 2 premises of NSBM Green University.
