The Badging Ceremony of the Association of Engineering Linguists (AEL) and the official launch of the second issue of the faculty newsletter “THE QUILL” were held on 25th February 2026 at the NSBM Green Boardroom. The occasion formally recognised the newly elected Executive Board while celebrating the association’s continued literary and academic contributions within the Faculty of Engineering.

The ceremony was graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Chandana Perera, and the Deputy Dean, Dr. Upeksha Hettithantri, along with Heads of Departments, academic staff members, presidents of fellow student associations, and past committee members.

The event marked the official handover of responsibilities, during which appreciation was extended to the outgoing committee for their dedicated service, followed by a warm welcome to the incoming board. The launch of the second issue of “THE QUILL” further underscored AEL’s commitment to fostering creativity, collaboration, and academic excellence.

With renewed enthusiasm and a forward-looking vision, the newly appointed leadership team now embarks on a promising year of impactful initiatives and meaningful engagement within the Faculty of Engineering.
