In line with the 5th Anniversary of the Department of Accounting and Finance, two significant Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) were ceremonially signed, marking a milestone in strengthening academia–industry collaboration.

 

The first MOU was signed between CA Sri Lanka and NSBM Green University. The agreement was signed on behalf of CA Sri Lanka by Mr. Tishan Subasinghe, President of CA Sri Lanka, and on behalf of NSBM Green University by Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice Chancellor. The ceremony was further elevated by the gracious presence and participation of Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, whose joining underscored the institutional importance and strategic significance of this partnership.

 

On behalf of CA Sri Lanka, the occasion was further graced by Ms. Anoji De Silva, Vice President; Ms. Lakmali Priyangika, Chief Executive Officer; Ms. Madushi Hapuarachchi, Deputy Director – Student Affairs; Mr. Udara Jayasinghe, Head – Brand and Corporate Communication; and Mr. Kalhara Gunathunge, Manager – Education.

 

Representing NSBM Green University were Dr. Thilini De Silva, Dean – Faculty of Business; Ms. Sanuji Ranawaka, Senior Manager – Strategic Development; Ms. Anne Pathiranage, Head – Department of Accounting & Finance; Ms. Charmain Patrick, Lecturer – Department of Accounting & Finance; and Ms. Sherien Abeygoonesekera, Career Guidance Officer.

 

In addition, a second MOU was signed between NSBM Green University and Devapriya Peiris Associates, further strengthening professional collaboration and industry engagement. The agreement was signed on behalf of the firm by Mr. Jude Devapriya Peiris, Managing Partner.

 

These landmark partnerships reflect the department’s continued commitment to fostering meaningful industry relationships, enhancing professional pathways, and advancing excellence in accounting and finance education at NSBM Green University.
