NSBM ASCE Student Chapter Hosts ENGINUITY 1.0 Floating City Design Challenge

Organized by the NSBM Civil Engineering Society and the NSBM ASCE Student Chapter – the first-ever ASCE student chapter was established at a Sri Lankan university – in proud collaboration with the ASCE Sri Lanka Section.
For the first time in Sri Lanka, a university-level, concept-based Floating City Design Competition was successfully held, bringing together some of the brightest young minds in civil engineering.
Out of 21 university teams from across the country in the first round, 15 top teams were selected for the final round, including: University of Moratuwa | University of Peradeniya | University of Sri Jayewardenepura | University of Ruhuna | KDU | BCAS Jaffna | NSBM Green University
Participants showcased their creativity, engineering knowledge, and sustainable thinking in front of a prestigious panel of judges representing the ASCE Sri Lanka Section and IESL: Eng. (Mrs.) Kamala Gunawardene, Eng. (Dr.) Denzil Lokuliyana, Eng. (Dr.) R. B. M. Gunawardena, Eng. Prabodh Jinasena and Eng. Niyas A. Samad
Competition Winners:

      •     First Place – KDU
      •     Second Place – University of Moratuwa
      •     Third Place – NSBM Green University
