NSBM 24.2 Batch Initiates ReadNest Book Corner at Makumbura Transport Center

Our 24.2 batch undergraduates took the initiative to inaugurate ReadNest, a public “Take a Book, Leave a Book” corner at the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Center, fostering literacy, knowledge sharing, and community engagement.
This initiative directly contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, specifically:
  • Target 11.3 – Enhancing inclusive and sustainable urbanization through participatory and community-driven development.
  • Target 11.7 – Providing universal access to safe, inclusive, and accessible public spaces for all.
By transforming a busy transit hub into an inclusive learning space, ReadNest encourages intellectual exchange, environmental sustainability through book reuse, and stronger social connections — embodying the vision of a smarter, more compassionate city.
24.2 batch undergraduates carried this initiative as part of their CREST programme, showcasing their commitment to social responsibility and community development.
