Guest Lecture on Drug Awareness & Positive Living For Business Undergraduates

The Faculty of Business successfully hosted an insightful and thought-provoking guest lecture on Awareness, Prevention from Drugs and Other Addictions and Making Positive Lifestyle Choices, targeting the 25.2 batch undergraduates. The session aimed to create awareness among students about the risks of substance use and addictive behaviors while equipping them with practical strategies for prevention and resilience.
 
The guest lecture was conducted by Dr. Tharshanan, a medical doctor specializing in Medical Leadership and Health Policy, as well as an accomplished motivational speaker and Toastmaster. Drawing from his medical expertise and experience in soft skills development, Dr. Tharshanan engaged the audience with an informative and interactive session. His powerful delivery and real-world insights inspired students to reflect on their choices and commit to creating a safe, supportive, and addiction-free environment.
 
The session was organized by Ms. Rekha Kulasekara, Lead – Soft Skills and Professional Development, Faculty of Business, under the guidance of Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean – Faculty of Business.
