NSBM Faculty of Computing successfully conducted the Curriculum Revision 2025 with active industry and academic participation, for the degree programmes offered by NSBM Green University and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.

 

The curriculum review covered the following degree programmes:

• BSc (Hons) in Computer Science

• BSc (Hons) in Data Science

• BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering

• BSc Management Information Systems (Special)

• BSc (Hons) in Computer Networks

 

Industry insights were provided by distinguished professionals:

• Mr. Chamika Ramanayake, Head of AI Platforms – Dialog Axiata PLC

• Mr. Bhagya Botheju, Former General Manager – HCL & Head of Program Management Office – Commercial Bank

• Mr. Shashika Suren, Head of Systems Security & SRE Architect – Axiata Digital Labs

 

Academic expertise was contributed by Prof. Noel Fernando – University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC).

 

This was organized by Ms. Yasanthika Mathotaarachchi, Lecturer, Faculty of Computing, under the guidance of Prof. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Head of the Department of Computer Science and Data Science & Head of the Curriculum Audit Committee – Faculty of Computing and Ms. Pavithra Subhashini, Head – Industry Collaboration Unit, Faculty of Computing & Head Curriculum Audit Committee – Faculty of Computing.

 

The event reinforced NSBM’s commitment to delivering industry-aligned, future-ready computing curricula through strong collaboration between academia and industry.
