The celebrations began with Session 02, honouring the exceptional graduates of the BSc (Honours) in Software Engineering and BSc (Honours) in Computer Science programmes. Their achievements were ceremonially recognised by Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, together with Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean of the Faculty of Computing. The session carried an added layer of distinction with an inspiring keynote by Prof. Henrik Hansson of Stockholm University, Sweden, who reflected on the evolving frontiers of global technology and digital innovation.

 

Academic excellence shone through with the recognition of the top performers:

The momentum carried into Session 07, where NSBM proudly conferred degrees upon nearly 200 graduates from the BSc in Management Information Systems (Special), BSc (Hons) in Computer Networks, and BSc (Hons) in Data Science programmes. Once again, degrees were awarded by Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, alongside Dr. Rasika Ranaweera.

This session was elevated by a thought-provoking keynote delivered by Mr. Supun Weerasinghe, Chief Executive Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC, whose industry insights offered a forward-looking perspective to the new graduates.
