Coffee & Concepts 2026 Series – Session 01
The Coffee & Concepts 2026 series kicked off successfully with Session 01, creating a warm and engaging space for academic networking and knowledge sharing across NSBM. The session focused on the topic “Disaster Communication in Cascading and Complex Situations” and was organized by the Faculty of Computing – Quality Assurance Cell & Staff Development Cell in collaboration with the NSBM Quality Assurance & Staff Development Center, with the aim of fostering open dialogue, collaboration, and experience sharing among academics.
The resource person for the session was Mr. Chamindra Attanayake, Senior Lecturer, Department of Software Engineering & Computer Security, Faculty of Computing. The session was coordinated by Ms. Yasanthika Mathotaarachchi, Lecturer and QA Cell Faculty Representative, and witnessed the active participation of esteemed academic staff members from all faculties, making it a truly cross-faculty networking opportunity.
This initiative was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head – Academic Development & QA, Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean – Faculty of Computing, and Dr. Malsha Mendis, Head – Quality Assurance & Staff Development Center, and with coffee & cookies, and thoughtful conversations, Coffee & Concepts continues to be a relaxed and meaningful platform to connect, learn, and grow together as an academic community.
