NSBM Faculty of Science Celebrates Fourth Anniversary 

NSBM Faculty of Science celebrated its Fourth Anniversary on 28th April 2026 at the university auditorium. The celebration brought together distinguished academics, industry experts, and students for a day of insightful discussions and achievements.
The event was graced by an esteemed gathering including the Deputy Vice Chanvellor Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Dean – Faculty of Science Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwavila, Dean – Faculty of Business Dr. Thilini De Silva, Dean – Faculty of Computing Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean – Faculty of Postgraduate Studies Dr. Piyumi Wickramasinghe, Director – Student Welfare Prof. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Deaputy Dean – Faculty of Science Dr. Madhavi Hewadikaram, and Head – Department of Life Sciences Dr. Miruna Rabindrakumar.
The first segment of the celebration, “SciVision ‘26”, served as the formal session of the event. A key highlight was the engaging panel discussion titled “From Science to Leadership: Bridging Academia, Industry, and Innovation”. The panel featured a distinguished lineup of speakers:

* Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwavila, Dean, Faculty of Science, NSBM Green University

Adding further significance to the occasion, the Faculty proudly launched the 5th issue of its official magazine, “IN VISION”, under the theme “One Health, One Future.”
 
The second segment of NSBM Faculty of Science Fourth Anniversary celebration unfolded in vibrant style with “Warna Deha ’26”, a dynamic talent show that celebrated the creativity and artistic flair of its students.
The event was graced by special guest Damithri Subasinghe, a well-known actor, dancer, social media influencer, and choreographer, whose presence added inspiration and excitement to the evening.
“Warna Deha ’26” featured an array of captivating performances by students of the Faculty of Science, including singing, dancing, and drama, reflecting the diverse talents and expressive abilities within the faculty.
