Bachelor of Information Technology (Major in Cyber Security) degree programme affiliated to Victoria University is offered at NSBM Faculty of Computing and the course is carefully designed to produce graduates who are first and foremost cyber security specialists. A full three-year degree, with specialized security modules integrated throughout the program to provide a holistic and comprehensive learning experience in the domain of cyber security.

- VU and NSBM Green University are pleased to jointly offer the VU Bachelor of Information Technology majoring in Cyber Security. VU is the only Australian university working in partnership with NSBM for the delivery of Australian degrees.
- Graduates will be conferred the VU Bachelor of Information and Technology upon successful completion of Year 1 at NSBM (IT-related degree courses) and Year 2 and Year 3 at NSBM or at VU Melbourne.
- Studying at both universities in both countries is the ideal preparation for a global career.

- Beyond just accessing information, hackers can penetrate enterprise networks, encrypt the hard drive of computers and extort the organisation or computer owners to pay for unlocking the system. Globally, cybersecurity is expected to have an annual growth of over 20% in the next five years.

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify for admission to undertake NSBM’s Year One, applicants must complete one of the following:
- Sri Lankan A Levels: 3 unit passes in the first attempt
- Sri Lankan A Levels: 2 unit passes + Completion of NSBM Certificate Programme
- Sri Lankan O Levels: 6 unit passes (with 3 units at credit level) + Completion of NSBM Foundation Programme
- Completion of Edexcel or BTEC Level 3 Certified International Foundation Programme (* subject to approval of VU Course Chair)
- Completion of any other foreign university-affiliated Foundation Programme (* subject to approval of VU Course Chair)
The English language entry requirement
OR
- AS Level subjects: General Paper, English Language; or
- A Level subject: English Language
- 3 passes for Advanced Level in a single attempt for core subjects (Local or International equivalent) (London AS Level exams are not recognized as entry criteria)
- Completion of NSBM foundation programme
- Completion of Edexcel or BTEC Certified foundation programme (*Subject to the approval of program director)
- Completion of any other foreign university affiliated foundation programme (*Subject to the approval of program director) and
- Students should have passed Ordinary Level examination or equivalent including Mathematics and English
- The English language entry requirement
- Minimum IELTS score of 6.0 (Academic) with no band score of less than 6.0 in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
- OR
- A grade of "C" in the following:
- AS Level subjects: General Paper, English Language; or
- A Level subject: English Language
** Students may subject to face a preliminary interview based on their entry qualification
- Year 1 - 900,000 LKR (450,000 x 2 Installments)
- Year 2 - 650,000 LKR (350,000 x 2 Installments)
- Year 3 - 650,000 LKR (350,000 x 2 Installments)
