Profile

I am a passionate and committed chemist dedicated to advancing the field of chemistry, holding a First-Class Honours BSc in Chemistry from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, UK. My postdoctoral research at Louisiana State University focused on advanced materials and nanotechnology. I have supervised over 14 PhD students, 50 MSc students, and more than 200 undergraduates. I have published around 70 peer-reviewed international research papers and hold one US patent, along with contributions to four Sri Lankan patents. My h-index of 31 demonstrates my impact in the field. Additionally, I served as a consultant for Global Rubber Industries to develop the Green Tyre concept, and I am eager to collaborate on materials science and sustainable solutions.
