Ms. Tharushi Attanayake is a graduate of the University of Kelaniya, having completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Special) Degree with First Class Honours in 2024. She is a dual gold medalist, having received the Gold Medal presented by Edinborough (Pvt) Ltd for achieving the highest GPA in the Commerce (Special) Degree Programme, as well as the Gold Medal presented by the Linus Silva Scholarship Fund for attaining the highest GPA across all degree programmes offered by the Department of Commerce and Financial Management, University of Kelaniya.

She is currently reading for her M.Sc. in Management at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Prior to entering academia, she gained valuable experience in the corporate sector, having served at Commercial Bank PLC, Hemas Holdings PLC, and Aitken Spence PLC, where she was exposed to diverse business functions and industry environments.

Ms. Tharushi is presently attached to the Department of Marketing and Tourism, where she teaches under the Tourism degree programme. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she also serves as the Mistress-in-Charge of the Martial Arts Club of the university, contributing actively to student engagement and extracurricular development.
