Profile
Ms. Ashini Wanasinghe is a Temporary Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences at the Faculty of Science, NSBM. She graduated with a First-Class Honors degree in Microbiology from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, where she was recognized on the Dean’s List for four consecutive years. During her undergraduate studies, she also studied Biochemistry and Chemistry as additional subjects. Currently, she is pursuing her M.Phil. at the University of Colombo. Before joining NSBM, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Industrial Technology Institute (ITI), contributing to several research projects and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Kelaniya, assisting with microbiology laboratory modules and demonstrating practical skills to undergraduates. Passionate about microbiology, research, and education, Ms. Ashini Wanasinghe is dedicated to advancing the academic and research community.
