Profile
Mr. Iman Ashly currently serves as a Senior Lecturer and the Industrial Coordinator at the Faculty of Engineering. He holds a B.Sc. Engineering degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Ruhuna (2013) and a Master’s degree in Electronics and Automation from the University of Moratuwa (2019). He is also a registered Associate Engineer with the Engineering Council of Sri Lanka (ECSL), as per Act No. 4 of 2017.
With extensive academic and industry experience, Mr. Ashly brings multidisciplinary expertise in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, as well as Information Technology. He is a committed and versatile educator with a strong background in teaching and training across various disciplines, including Mathematics, C Programming, Mobile Application Development, Computer Architecture, and Engineering Project Management.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he actively contributes to curriculum development, examination paper preparation, and academic quality assurance. As the Industrial Coordinator, he plays a key role in strengthening industry-academic partnerships, facilitating student internships, and aligning academic programs with industry needs.
Mr. Ashly’s professional journey spans both academia and the engineering industry. He remains dedicated to bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring that students are well-prepared for real-world challenges in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
