NSBM’s International Center for Cultural Exchange hosts a visit to Port City Colombo

A team of undergraduates and academics representing NSBM Green University paid a visit to the Port City Colombo on 21st October 2022. The visit was organized by the International Center for Cultural Exchange as part of its Cross-Culture Leaders programme.

Forty undergraduates of NSBM visited the Port City Colombo site and witnessed the master plan of this future landmark of Sri Lanka to be completed in 2040 with detailed introductions and progress of its 5 different precincts, including the Financial District, Central Park Living, Island Living, The Marina and the International Island. Additionally, a session on career opportunities in Port City Colombo has also been successfully conducted, followed by a series of Q&A.

The main purpose behind this visit was to expose NSBM students to the future of Sri Lanka, be aware of the challenging working and living environment, and prepare themselves for the change.

Ms. Zinia Liu, Senior Lecturer/ Mistress in Charge of International Center for Cultural Exchange, Ms. Aushadharie Kaushalya and Ms. Shalini Wijewardana, Lecturers in Charge, Mr. Rushdi Hadhi, Manager of NFORCE (NSBM Career Guidance), and Mr. Shaja Musthaffa, lecturer – Faculty of Business participated in this visit.
