The inaugural event of the NSBM Sports Fiesta 2024 – initial house meeting took place on January 16th 2024, at the NSBM Phase 2 Grounds. Setting an exciting tone for the upcoming competitions, NSBM students and staff members representing the four houses gathered in preparation for the much-awaited sports extravaganza.  

The event featured a few inspiring addresses that enhanced the enthusiasm for this year’s NSBM Sports Fiesta and instilled a sense of sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition. The students and staff gathered in their respective houses to discuss strategies and share their expectations and goals for the upcoming competitions.  

This occasion saw the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe, Head of Academic and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the faculties, Head of Student Affairs, Chief Organisers of NSBM Sports Fiesta 2024, academics and the students. 

As this house meeting concluded, the anticipation for the upcoming series of competitions reached new heights, with all houses ready to showcase their skills and compete across 15+ sports to clinch the NSBM Sports Fiesta trophy.
