The much-anticipated Tech Talks 2024 finals, organized by the Faculty of Computing in collaboration with the NSBM Speaker’s Club, concluded on a high note, leaving audiences captivated. This premier public speaking event witnessed six finalists competing for the top honors, showcasing their exceptional oratory skills in a tech-driven context.
At the end of a closely contested finale, the winners of Tech Talks 2024 were announced as: Best Speaker Award: Kusal Videshan; 1st Runner-up: Pawan Pabasara and 2nd Runner-up: Adeev Shabry. In addition, Mandira de Silva was honored with the Popular Choice Award, earning recognition from the audience for her impactful presentation.
The event featured a distinguished panel of judges, including Mr. Vidusha Nathavitharana – Founder/Director, Luminary Learning Solutions, Ms. Ishma Perera – Associate SAP Consultant, Rizing Consumer Industries and Dr. Rasika Ranaweera – Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Professional Advancement, NSBM Green University. Kandos Chocolates came on board as the event sponsor, providing exciting gift packs for the winners.
