The Faculty of Computing at NSBM Green University successfully conducted the “Quality Assurance in Action” Industry Tech Workshop on 10 July 2026 for third-year Software Engineering undergraduates under the Software Verification and Validation module.

The workshop provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to contemporary quality assurance practices through three industry-focused sessions on Web Automation, API Testing, and Performance Testing. The sessions enabled students to gain practical insights into industry-standard testing methodologies and tools, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice.

The Faculty extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Raveen Deemantha, Quality Assurance Lead, and Mr. Sakila Sanharsha, Associate QA Engineer, from 1Billion Tech (Pvt) Ltd, for sharing their expertise, practical knowledge, and invaluable industry experiences with the undergraduates.

The event was organized by the Department of Software Engineering and Computer Security in collaboration with the Industry Collaboration Unit of the Faculty of Computing. The workshop was coordinated by Ms. Yasanthika Mathotaarachchi, Module Lecturer – Software Verification and Validation, under the guidance of Ms. Pavithra Subhashini, Head of the Industry Collaboration Unit, Faculty of Computing.
