Retorika: Transnational Dialogues, in collaboration with the University of Lorraine, France, hosted its second consecutive event, fostering global connections for our students’ academic and professional growth. This marks our fourth telecollaboration venture, following successful projects with the University of Rovira I Virgili, Spain, and Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, Japan.

This year, 25 NSBM students teamed up with Masters in Law students from the University of Lorraine. Together, they crafted innovative business plans, with our French partners offering valuable legal insights tailored to the European market. Moreover, each group produced an eye-catching promotional video for their business idea!

The competition kicked off on April 26th, culminating in a thrilling finale on May 2nd, featuring a prestigious panel of judges including Mr. Yohan Thilakarathne, General Manager at Corperate Communications, DIMO Lanka, and Mr. Anton Thayalan, CEO of Luminary Learning Solutions.

The Group Eco Voyage, comprising Srah Hussain and Natharie Chandrakumara, won the Best Promotional Video award, and the Group Plantastik, led by Senan Balachandran, Pinidi Seneviratne, and Samiru Weththasinghe, clinched the Best Business Plan award!

The finale was graced by Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, and the faculty members from the Faculty of Business.
