The Faculty of Business of NSBM Green University welcomed Grade 12 students and teachers of Mahanama College, Colombo, on 31 July 2026 for a specially designed Student Development Programme aimed at inspiring young learners and preparing them for future academic and professional success.

The programme provided students with valuable insights into academic excellence, career readiness, and the opportunities available in higher education. Through a series of engaging sessions, participants gained guidance and inspiration to navigate their educational journey with confidence and purpose.

The session was conducted by Dr. Thilini De Silva, Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academics, who shared practical advice on achieving success in the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination while maintaining a balanced approach to learning and personal development. Ms. Anne Pathiranage, Dean – Faculty of Business, highlighted the importance of career preparedness, professional skills, and developing a future-oriented mindset. Adding a special personal touch to the programme, Mr. Venura Colombage, Deputy Dean – Faculty of Business and an alumnus of Mahanama College, shared reflections from his own academic journey and encouraged students to embrace future opportunities with confidence and determination.

The programme also included a guided tour of the NSBM Green University campus, allowing students to experience the university environment, explore its facilities, and gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities available to them in higher education.
