Interior Design Undergraduates Showcase Research Excellence at BID 3102 Essay Viva Examination

he Department of Design Studies of the Faculty of Engineering at NSBM Green University successfully conducted the BID 3102 – Research Methodology & Essay Viva Examination, marking another significant milestone in the academic journey of its Interior Design undergraduates.
The viva examination provided an excellent platform for students to present and defend their research findings, demonstrating their ability to address contemporary design challenges through critical thinking, academic inquiry, and creative problem-solving. The presentations reflected the diverse and dynamic nature of interior design research, covering a broad spectrum of topics that contribute to sustainable, functional, and user-centred design solutions.
The event highlighted the students’ research capabilities and their commitment to exploring innovative approaches to contemporary interior design issues, reinforcing the Department’s emphasis on fostering a strong culture of scholarly inquiry and design excellence.
The examination was successfully coordinated by Dr. Malsha Mendis, Module Leader, together with the research supervisors, under the guidance of Dr. Upeksha Hettithanthri, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Head of the Department of Design Studies. Their dedication, commitment, and unwavering support played a pivotal role in the successful completion of this important academic milestone.
