NSBM Department of Software Engineering successfully organized an educational visit to the Internet Data Centre and Dialog Television (DTV) Operation Centre at Malabe in collaboration with Dialog Axiata PLC.

 

Recognized as the first data centre in Sri Lanka to be certified with internationally recognized TIER 3 standards, the Dialog Internet Data Centre provided students with valuable exposure to advanced data centre infrastructure, operational procedures, and industry best practices.

 

The visit was attended by 44 undergraduates from the NSBM 23.2/24.1 B.Sc. in Computer Networks 3rd year batch. The students gained valuable hands-on insights and practical knowledge on data centre environments, network operations, and related technologies through engaging knowledge-sharing sessions and demonstrations.

 

Special appreciation is extended to Mr. Chandana Premalal and Ms. Sanaree Godagama for facilitating the visit, as well as Mr. Kasun Jayasanka and Mr. Dulshan Edirisuriya for dedicating their time and expertise to enhance the students’ learning experience through informative sessions and demonstrations.
