NSBM Green University took another significant step towards strengthening industry engagement and expanding experiential learning opportunities for students by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Alcohol and Drug Information Centre (ADIC) Sri Lanka on 5 August 2026.

The MOU was signed by Deputy Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Dr. Thilini De Silva, and Executive Director of ADIC Sri Lanka, Mr. Sampath De Seram, marking the commencement of a collaborative partnership focused on creating valuable learning and professional development opportunities for students of the BSc (Hons) Psychology programme.

Through this partnership, NSBM Psychology undergraduates will gain access to hands-on internship opportunities, field training experiences, and collaborative behavioural health workshops conducted with the expertise of ADIC Sri Lanka. The initiative is expected to provide students with practical exposure to real-world applications of psychology, particularly in the areas of behavioural health, community engagement, and social well-being.

The partnership further reflects NSBM Green University’s commitment to bridging academic knowledge with industry practice by creating meaningful opportunities for students to develop professional competencies and contribute to society through their chosen fields.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwavila; Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Dr. Madhavi Hewadikaram; Career Guidance Officer, Ms. Sherien Abeygoonesekera; Industry Coordinator, Ms. Sharini Samaranayake; Lecturer Ms. Lakshani Jayasinha; Lecturer Ms. Nayomi Munasinghe; and ADIC Program Director, Mr. Amaranath Tenne, who joined in celebrating this milestone collaboration.
