Inspiring Two-Day Orientation Programme For NSBM Foundation 26.2 StudentsÂ
Following the inauguration ceremony, NSBM Green University warmly welcomed the 2026 Second Intake of Foundation students through a comprehensive two-day Orientation Programme designed to support their transition from school to university and prepare them for a successful academic journey.
Held under the theme “Discover Your University,” the first day of the programme introduced students to university life, academic expectations, and the responsibilities of becoming an undergraduate. Carefully curated sessions conducted by distinguished senior academics provided valuable guidance on developing a positive learning mindset, actively engaging in the classroom, upholding academic integrity, embracing the opportunities available at NSBM, and growing into confident, responsible scholars.
The second and final day of the Orientation Programme continued with a series of engaging and impactful sessions that focused on equipping students with essential life skills beyond the classroom.
The day commenced with an insightful awareness session titled “Responsible Living in the Digital Age: Making the Right Choices,” delivered by DIG Chandana Kodithuwakku, Deputy Inspector General of Police – Crime Range, highlighting the importance of responsible digital citizenship and informed decision-making in today’s connected world.
Students also participated in interactive sessions covering discipline and professional conduct, personal grooming and confidence, and positive thinking and mental well-being, facilitated by distinguished senior academics and university staff. These sessions were designed to develop the personal, professional, and interpersonal competencies essential for success in university and beyond.
The Orientation Programme concluded on a vibrant and energetic note with a Student Orientation Programme organised by the Association of Business Management (ABM). Through a variety of interactive activities, students had the opportunity to connect with their peers, build new friendships, and experience the dynamic student culture that defines life at NSBM Green University.
The successful completion of the Foundation 26.2 Orientation Programme marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the University’s newest students. As they embark on their academic journey, they do so equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and support needed to make the most of every opportunity that university life has to offer.
