The IEEE Student Branch of NSBM Green University successfully hosted Duothan 6.0 on 6 August 2026, bringing together more than 250 undergraduate students representing over 65 teams from more than 10 universities across Sri Lanka for an exciting celebration of technology, innovation, and competitive problem-solving.
Conducted across three challenging phases, Duothan 6.0 tested participants on their technical knowledge, analytical thinking, teamwork, innovation, and ability to solve problems under pressure. Following the preliminary stages, teams representing NSBM Green University, University of Moratuwa, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC), and Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) advanced to the on-site final phase, FORTIFY, where the finalists competed for the championship title.
This year’s competition marked a historic milestone for NSBM Green University, as the University claimed the Duothan championship for the first time in the six-edition history of the competition.
Taking the top spot, Team Scrybug from NSBM Green University emerged as the Champion of Duothan 6.0. Team Rexosphere from the University of Moratuwa secured the First Runner-up position, while Team Cybernauts from NSBM Green University claimed the Second Runner-up position.
