NSBM students visit Ceylon Biscuits Limited


The undergraduates who are following the BB Banking and Finance & Financial Risk Management and BB Management Innovation & Supply Chain and Logistics Management and BSc in Business Management (Sp) Project Management degree programmes at NSBM Green University, successfully completed an industrial visit on 1st of February 2023 to Ceylon Biscuits Limited located in Makumbura, Pannipitiya.

The visit was organized with the purpose of enhancing NSBM students’ knowledge by providing them with a real experience of how manufacturing processors operate, how they are managed using automated systems and design engineering mechanisms etc. while adhering to the Lean Management concept and contributing to achieving UN’s Sustainability Development Goals.

The students of 21.1/21.2, the students who are following the BB Banking and Finance & Financial Risk Management and BB Management Innovation & Supply Chain and Logistics Management and the students of 21.2/ 22.1 who are following the BSc in Business Management (Project Management) (Special) degree program, and Ms. Kalni Peiris, the Lecturer/Country Coordinator for Australian Partnerships, participated in the industrial visit. Participants gained a thorough understanding of the organization as well as hands-on experience with biscuits and confectionary manufacturing operations.

The industrial visit was organized by the Victoria University undergraduates at NSBM and Project Management undergraduates under the guidance of Ms. Thilini De Silva, the Dean Faculty of Business, and Ms. Kalni Peiris, the Lecturer/Country Coordinator for Australian Partnerships. It concluded with positive feedback from participants and Ceylon Biscuits Limited.
