NSBM Rugby Team, who emerged as the Champions of the APIIT Extravaganza 2023 – Rugby tournament, officially presented the Championship Trophy to the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, on 18th October 2023 at the university premises. The team was led by Manula Rathnayake and Dinil Akash, the Captain and the Vice Captain for the year 2023. 

It was a moment of incredible pride, and the Vice Chancellor praised the team for their biggest success in bringing that respect to the university. The occasion was accompanied by the Head of Academic Development & Quality Assurance and the MIC Rugby, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, MIC of the Rugby, Ms. Shehani Joseph, and Ms. Shanika Sewwandi, Executive – Sports and Physical Education.
