NSBM Marketing Undergraduates Explore Personal Branding and Professional Communication
The Department of Management at NSBM Green University successfully organised “Executive Presence 360°: Utilising E-Communication Platforms for Marketing and Branding,” a professional development session for third-year undergraduates pursuing the BSc (Hons) in Marketing Management degree programme. The session was conducted as part of the Current Issues in Management module offered by the Department.
The session was delivered by Mr. Sampath Soysa, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Good Grooming Global, who shared valuable industry insights into building a strong professional identity and leveraging digital platforms to strengthen personal branding and expand career opportunities.
The discussion covered key aspects of professional development, including building a T-shaped marketing skill set, establishing a credible personal brand on LinkedIn, optimising LinkedIn profiles to improve visibility among recruiters, and mastering professional communication and online engagement.
Through practical insights and industry perspectives, students gained a deeper understanding of how to strengthen their executive presence, communicate professionally in digital spaces, and position themselves effectively in an increasingly competitive job market.
Organised by the Public Relations Circle of the Department of Management under its Executive Presence 360° project, the initiative reflects the Department’s commitment to connecting academic learning with industry expertise and equipping undergraduates with the professional skills and competencies needed to succeed in today’s evolving business environment.
