The Law Society of NSBM Green University successfully conducted an insightful and engaging Debate Workshop on 11 August 2026, providing students with a valuable opportunity to sharpen their debating skills and strengthen their confidence ahead of the upcoming Kathika 2026 Debate Competition.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Chiranthaka Palugaswewa, Attorney-at-Law and State Counsel, an experienced debater who shared his expertise and practical insights with the participating students. The session focused on developing the essential skills required for effective debating, with particular emphasis on constructing persuasive arguments, strengthening legal reasoning, presenting ideas with clarity, and responding confidently to opposing viewpoints.

Throughout the workshop, students engaged in practical discussions and explored techniques that can help them approach debates with greater confidence and critical awareness. The interactive nature of the session encouraged participants to think analytically, evaluate different perspectives, and develop compelling arguments while maintaining clarity and persuasiveness.
