In a resounding celebration through the dojo, NSBM Karate Team emerged victorious at the WUMF Intercontinental Karate Championship held on 8th December 2023. The team has clinched a remarkable tally of 5 Gold medals and a Bronze.
The individual triumphs of the team include Damith Sri Kaushalya, securing 1st place in Kumite (Senior/ +65kg); Lakshan Kaluwila, claiming 1st place in both Kata (Senior/ Level 2) and Kumite (Senior/ -65kg); Maleesha Miuranga, achieving 3rd place in Kata (Under 21/ Level 5) and 1st place in Kumite (Under 21/ Level 5); and Nupun Sri Nethsara, seizing 1st place in Kumite (Under 21/ +84kg).
