NSBM Faculty Of Computing Hosts Practical Ui/Ux Workshop For Second-Year Undergraduates

The UI/UX Fundamentals Workshop for second-year computing undergraduates was successfully conducted as a practical learning session designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts and real-world applications of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design.
The workshop was organized by Ms. Dulanjali Wijesekara, Lecturer, Faculty of Computing, and was successfully concluded with the support of the Association of Computer and Data Science (ACDS) and the Industry Collaboration Unit – Ms. Pavithra Subhashini of the Faculty of Computing (FOC).
The session was facilitated by Mr. Ravindu Lankathilaka, one of our own recognized undergraduates with over one year of industry experience as a UI/UX Intern at Sysco LABS Sri Lanka. Based on his exposure to the design and development of global-scale software applications, Ravindu shared valuable industry insights while inspiring and mentoring the participants through his own learning journey and career experiences. The workshop was highly interactive, incorporating hands-on activities and practical exercises that encouraged students to apply the concepts discussed throughout the session.
This initiative demonstrates the Faculty of Computing’s continued commitment to strengthening industry readiness by creating opportunities for students to learn directly from successful senior students, apart from experienced professionals.
