NSBM Entrepreneurship Circle Hosts Future BizTycoon Startup Competition 2026 Demo Day
The Intra-Faculty Future BizTycoon – Startup Competition 2026 Demo Day brought together students from the Department of Management to transform entrepreneurial ideas into viable startup concepts while developing the practical skills and confidence needed to take their ideas forward.
Organised by the Entrepreneurship Circle of the Department of Management, the competition was designed to strengthen students’ entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, problem-solving, business validation and pitching capabilities through an experiential learning journey.
Throughout the competition, students progressed through key stages of ideation, learning, business validation and pitching, providing them with an opportunity to move beyond theoretical concepts and apply their knowledge to real-world business opportunities. This process encouraged participants to examine the viability of their ideas, identify potential market opportunities and develop strategies for building and scaling their ventures.
The Demo Day marked an important stage of this journey, as participating teams presented their startup concepts and venture-scaling strategies before a panel of judges. The presentations provided students with valuable exposure to professional evaluation, while allowing them to receive constructive feedback on their business ideas and approaches.
Beyond presenting their ventures, the experience enabled students to test their ideas, communicate their value propositions, respond to critical questions and build confidence in articulating their business concepts. It also provided an opportunity to develop practical capabilities in areas such as business validation, problem-solving, communication and entrepreneurial decision-making.
The Future BizTycoon – Startup Competition 2026 reflects the Department of Management’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to gain practical exposure to entrepreneurship and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom. Through initiatives such as this, students are encouraged to explore innovative ideas, engage with real-world business challenges and take meaningful steps towards their future academic, professional and entrepreneurial journeys.
